Major General Virendra Singh addresses the audience on NCC Day, 1965

Inaugurations , Institute Events , Visiting VIPs

As the NCC flag proudly flies high, the audience tunes in to listen to Major General Virendra Singh’s (Director-General, NCC) speech. The NCC flag has three colours representing the armed forces, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy, and light blue for the Air Force. A wreath of lotus flowers encircles the letters NCC which are printed in gold in the middle of the flag.

The opening ceremony of the new NCC building took place on the same day with Mr. Singh as the chief guest. The event has been recorded in the Annual Number of IIT Madras, 1965-66 with a couple of photographs and a brief description of the event.
