This photograph was taken during an IIT Madras team’s visit to the desalination plant at Ramanathapuram erected by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). The plant was called the Narippaiyur plant and it was maintained by BHEL Ranipet.

The person to the extreme left is possibly an engineer or manager from BHEL. The person in the center is Prof. S. Kumaraswamy (Department of Mechanical Engineering) and the person to the extreme right is Prof. M. S. Ananth (Director of IIT Madras).
