An ornate Jaali wall frames the entrance to the school’s hallway. A Jaali wall, implying “perforated stone” or “latticed screen” is quintessential of Indo-Islamic architecture. The jaali, in addition to providing structural strength, allows ventilation and light in while keeping the sun and rain out. This hallway led to the school's main entrance, where the inauguration ceremony took place. However, this is no longer the main entrance of the school. The second entrance was possibly built later in time.
The new school building, located near Gajendra Circle was officially inaugurated by Dr. A. L. Mudaliar (Chairman, Board of Governors) on January 20, 1965. It was equipped with large classrooms, laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, a library and well-equipped administrative offices. There were also facilities for basketball, football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, badminton, ring tennis, and throwball in the school grounds.
