A participant strums the guitar in this photograph. A microphone is also placed in front of the participant, implying that the participant is a vocalist as well. This event is one of the solo music events that took place during Saarang. There were also group events in Light Music and Western Music.
After a preliminary round, selected participants would have a final round where winners would be chosen. All these events till date, take place across different venues in IIT Madras. In 2005, Saarang was held from 21 to 26 January.
