This photograph was taken during the visit of the President of the German Academic Exchange Service (D. A. A. D.) Dr. Emil Lehnartz in January 1968. The D. A. A. D. organized a seminar at IIT Madras for former scholarship holders of the service. There is photographic evidence that there was a special dinner, lunch and refreshments served during the event.
