In the background, the Saarang banner is seen. Matmatah is a French rock band that makes music in genres such as folk and rock. Their latest album at the time was Archie Kramer (2004) following which they went on a world tour in the end of October that year.

Saarang 2005 took place from 21-26 January. Events during Saarang included quizzes, Antakshari, Debate, Fine Arts, Extempore, Informals, and Music competitions.
