Dr. Linus Pauling, the American scientist who won the Nobel Prize twice (in Chemistry in 1954 and the Peace Prize in 1962) visited IIT Madras on 18 January 1967 along with his wife Ava Helen Pauling. The signatures of Dr. Linus Pauling and Ava Helen Pauling are found in the visitor’s book which is on display at the Heritage Centre.
Seen in the photograph is (in the first row first from right) Prof. N. Klein (Humanities Department). The other persons in the photograph are yet to be identified.
