Visiting VIPs
Dr. Linus Pauling, the American scientist who won the Nobel Prize twice (in Chemistry in 1954 and the Peace Prize in 1962) visited IIT Madras on 18 January 1967 along with his wife Ava Helen Pauling. The signatures of Dr. Linus Pauling and Ava Helen Pauling are found in the visitor’s book which is on display at the Heritage Centre. This photograph was also published in the Eighth Annual Number of IIT Madras of 1966-67.
