This photograph was taken during a special convocation held to confer the degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Dr. Richard von Weizsäcker (President, Federal Republic of Germany, seen extreme left).
The person to the extreme right is Prof. M. Ravindran (Head of Ocean Engineering Department). The person in the centre is yet to be identified. The unidentified gentleman appears to be holding a blue book on which the words 'Ocean Engineering Centre' are visible.
