Ravindran (Head of Ocean Engineering Department, extreme right).
Dr. Weizsäcker received an honorary Doctor of Science degree (honoris causa) during his visit to IIT Madras in 1991. The ceremony took place at the Student Activities Centre (SAC), and Dr. Weizsäcker also took the opportunity to tour various departments, including the Ocean Engineering Department.
