This photograph was taken during a special convocation held to confer the degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Dr. Richard von Weizsäcker (President, Federal Republic of Germany, third from left, face partially covered).
The other individuals in the photograph are Prof. N. V. C. Swamy (Director, second from left) and Prof. Sankaran Subramanian (Chemistry Department, fifth from left). The others in the photograph are yet to be identified.
