At IIT Madras, 1991
This photograph features Dr. Richard von Weizsäcker (President, Federal Republic of Germany, second from right) who was conferred the degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) during his visit to IIT Madras in 1991. The photographs in this album suggest that he visited a couple of departments, including the Computer Sciences Department and the Ocean Engineering Department. This photograph was most likely taken at the latter.
