This photograph was taken during a special convocation held to confer the degree of Doctor of Science (honoris causa) on Dr. Richard von Weizsäcker (President, Federal Republic of Germany, seen fourth from left).

Ravindran (Head of Ocean Engineering Department, second from left) and Prof. N. V. C. Swamy (Director, third from left). The other persons in the picture are yet to be identified.
