This photograph was taken during Mr. Walter Scheel’s visit to the Institute. Mr. Scheel was the first Minister of Economic Cooperation for the Federal Republic of Germany. During his visit, he visited the Central Workshops and some of the laboratories at IIT Madras.

We think this photograph was taken at a Physics Laboratory, owing to the fact that Prof. S. Ramaseshan (extreme left) and Prof. W. Koch (second from left) from the Department of Physics are in the photograph.
