This photograph was taken during one of the events held at Saarang. According to a report in The Fourth Estate, there were several events involving Western music including Western Music solo and Western Music group, and also Light Music solo and Light Music group. The events were called Acoustix and Powerchord. The report notes that the events were dominated by bands from Chennai, and makes a special mention of a band from IIT Madras which participated in Powerchord.
