This photograph was taken during one of the fun events organized at IIT Madras’ annual cultural and social event Saarang. Although we do not know the name of this event, we know that it involved eating a particular food item off of a plate without using one's hands.
We can also see a school boy standing in his uniform near the stage. Through other photographs in the album, we know that there were separate events organized for school children during Saarang.
