The lighting of the sports torch, 1999
This picture was taken during the 35th Inter-IIT Sports Meet in 1999. The image shows a sports torch being lit by a gentleman. It is very likely that the student holding the torch is from IIT Madras, the home team.
The persons in this photograph are yet to be identified.
