Decibels is one of the events held during Saarang. It is a Western music band competition held for bands across India; and according to articles, the winning band receives an opportunity to open the Rock Show. Here, a band is photographed performing during Decibels.

Saarang 2005 was held from 21 to 26 January, complete with events and competitions for college students like Sports Quiz, Business Quiz, Debate, Antakshari, Light Music, Western Music, etc. Professional live shows were also held in the Open Air Theatre (OAT). Some of the artists were Ayaan and Amaan Ali Bangash, Moksha, Orange Street and KK.
