This photograph was taken during a Saarang music competition. In it, a participant is seen to be singing. This was one of the numerous events held annually during Saarang. Some of the events in 2005 were Quiz, Potpourri, Extempore, Informals, Creative Writing, Debate, Fine Arts, Semi Classical Vocals, Radio Play and Crossie.
According to the event schedule of 2005, other music events of 2005 included Western Music Solo, Western Music Group, Light Music Solo, Light Music group, Semi Classical Vocals and Antakshari. The 2005 iteration of Saarang, during which this photograph was taken, was held from 21 to 26 January.
