This photograph was taken during the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet in IIT Madras.

According to the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 1994, Prof. Gokhale was the Sports Activities Advisor of the Institute. Gokhale was from the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Also seen in the image is Prof. N. V. C. Swamy (Director, on Prof. Gokhale's right-hand side).
