The photograph depicts a football match at IIT Madras, taken during the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet. It is unclear who the student-athletes in the picture are. Regrettably, heavy rainfall disrupted the event after two days of seamless proceedings, as per IIT Madras' Annual Report of 1994. Consequently, only the indoor events were conducted, and the others were called off. Nonetheless, the report highlights that IIT Madras put up a commendable performance and secured a respectable number of points until the third day.
