A student receives a prize, 1994
This photograph was taken during the 30th Inter-IIT Sports Meet at IIT Madras. In the picture, Prof. Y. Narayana Rao is presenting a prize to an unidentified student. Prof. Rao was the Dean of Administration during this time.
According to the 1994 Annual Report of IIT Madras, the event's first two days of the event went smoothly. Unfortunately, heavy rains caused outdoor activities to be cancelled. Nevertheless, indoor games like basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and weightlifting continued as planned at the Student Activities Centre and the old badminton court.
