Gajendra Circle during Mardi Gras 1995

This photograph was taken during Mardi Gras in 1995. It shows the Gajendra Circle decorated for the event. That was the last year in which the IIT Madras Cultural Festival was called so. It is now known as Saarang. This edition of Mardi Gras was held from January 24-29 in 1995. The brochure for that year names the theme of Mardi Gras as "Back with a bang!" with programmes across the categories of literary, debating, arts, musical and informal events.
