This photograph was taken during one of the informal events, possibly a slow cycling race at IIT Madras’ fest Saarang. The event saw the participation of hundreds of students from colleges across the city and country. Events such as Western music, light music, T-shirt painting, paper presentation contests, quizzes and many more events of the sort were organized at the fest. We are not sure who the students in the photograph are, nor do we know the name of the event. If you have any information about the same, please reach out to us.
This photograph appears to have been taken during a T-shirt designing contest at Saarang. The participant seems to have written the words from a song by the band Dream Theater. The lines are: “My subconscious mind / starts spinning thro’ time / to rejoin the past once again… / Nothing seems real, / I’m starting to feel / lost”. The lyrics are from the song ‘Scene One: Regression’ from the album Metropolis, Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory released in 1999.

This photograph was possibly taken during one of the fun events. We do not know who the person in the…

This photograph shows two participants taking part in a painting contest. Our guess is that this was a T-shirt painting contest. This assumption has been made on the fact that there are several other photographs from a similar event. Saarang is an event which is always brimming with activity and plenty of events. Participants from across the country take part in events held at various parts of the campus. We are not sure who the participants in the image are. If you have any information about the individuals, please reach out to us.
