Mr. M. C. Chagla (chief guest and Union Education Minister, extreme left) was the Union Education Minister from 1963 to 1966. He held several important roles in his career, including chief justice of the Bombay High Court and judge of the International Court of Justice. His son Iqbal Chagla calls him “a man of immense simplicity”, in an interview published on the ‘MyLaw’ channel on YouTube. Dr. A. L. M. C. Chagla had an illustrious career. He was first a member of the Muslim League, and later he founded the Muslim Nationalist Party, in Bombay. He worked as a Professor of law at the Government Law College, Bombay in 1927, where he worked alongside Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He was appointed a judge at the Bombay High Court in 1941. He served as Chief Justice from 1948 to 1958. He had the privilege of leading the first Indian delegation to the UN in 1946. The font comes under the Wedding Text font family and was designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1901. The font soon became popular and was used under several names by various people.
