This photograph was taken during Saarang, IIT Madras’ annual cultural and social fest. It is likely that this photograph was taken during Saarang’s ‘Choreo-nite’, which is a dance competition. According to a report in The Hindu, the Choreo-nite, among other events, drew the largest crowds.
The dancer appears to be performing a traditional Indian dance, but we are not certain which dance form she is adhering to.
