Food stalls can be seen behind the speaker, including a Maggi “2 minutes” food stall. Though the photograph is focused on the speaker, there are other subjects in this image such as a Saarang volunteer possibly on a mobile phone, a Maggi food stall, other food stalls, a motorbike, several participants, and a bicycle.
This photograph was taken outdoors, within one of the venues on the IIT Madras campus, where the Saarang food stalls were assembled. A large number of trees, tree trunks, and leaves can be seen in the background, drawing attention to the greenery on campus. This edition of Saarang took place from 21 to 26 January 2005.
