This photograph was taken on 22 March, when IIT Madras received the Siemens 7580-E computer from the Federal Republic of Germany. According to a Campastimes interview with Mr. P. Seshasayi (Manager, Computer Centre), the Institute had acquired 80 terminals along with the computer.
