In December 1968, IIT Madras conducted, with assistance from the Technical Physics Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, a three-week course in ‘High-Vacuum Technology’. There were 54 participants, drawn from academic institutions, research laboratories and industrial establishments.
