Valedictory Function of the Short-Term Course in High Vacuum Technology

Rajaraman (Director of Technical Education, Trivandrum, Kerala).

In December 1968, IIT Madras conducted, with assistance from the Technical Physics Division of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, a three-week course in ‘High-Vacuum Technology’. There were 54 participants, drawn from academic institutions, research laboratories and industrial establishments. Dr. H. N. Sethna, Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, delivered the valedictory address for the course. The image captures a section of the audience who were present for the valedictory function that was held on 21st December, 1968.
