This photograph was taken at one of the informal events during Saarang. It is likely that this event was the slow cycle race, but this is yet to be confirmed. Through the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 2002-2003, we know that there were many programmes organized at IIT Madras. Some of these were fun events, while some were more serious. Contests and competitions ranged from design contests, T-shirt painting contests to entrepreneurship contests and paper presentation contests.
