In the photograph, Prof. V. G. Idichandy is seen speaking from the podium, addressing the audience. Prof. V. G. Idichandy has been Dean of Students, and Deputy Director at IIT Madras; he has also been Chairman – JEE and has held posts as a professor.
The people seated on the stage include, from the left, Mrs. Jayashree Ananth (wife of Director Ananth), Prof. M. S. Ananth (Director of IIT Madras, 2001-2011), Mr. K. S. Sarma, IAS, Prof. Prakash M. Maiya (Department of Mechanical Engineering and two persons who are not yet identified.
