The label reads, “Visit of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in India / Baron von Mirbach / 22.1.1968”. Below the label, it is written in pencil “given as 6/1/67 in the 4th convocation brochure”.

The photographs in the album are from Baron von Mirbach’s 6 January 1967 visit to IIT Madras. The album also contains photographs from Dr. Linus Pauling’s visit on 18 January 1967. On the date given on the label (22 January 1968), Baron von Mirbach visited IIT Madras again in the following year. The writing in pencil appears to be accurate according to the Fourth Convocation Brochure.
