This photograph was taken during IIT Madras’ annual fest Saarang. It is likely that the photograph was taken during the performance by the singer Shaan. According to a report in The Hindu, the show lasted for around two and a half hours and it was a “high-energy performance” in spite of Shaan’s sore throat.
