The letter ‘K’ is visible behind the two pigeons. Perhaps this letter is part of the Nokia banners that were hung at the Open Air Theatre (OAT) during Saarang. Nokia was the main sponsor for Saarang 2005. The pigeons seem to have been surprised by the flash from the camera that captured them but not startled enough that they flew away.

Perhaps, they, too, just wanted to partake in the festivities that accompany Saarang. Presumably taken at the Open Air Theatre (OAT) at night, these two pigeons may have witnessed one of the professional shows or other events held in the evenings during Saarang 2005 such as the Rock Show, the Jazz Show, Classical Music Night, Light Music, Choreo Nite, or Decibels.
