A dance group performs during Choreo Nite, Saarang 2005

A Saarang event, Choreo Nite has two types of competitions: themed and non-themed dances. This performance was most probably a themed dance as can be seen from a special backdrop used by the dancers. The photograph shows a college dance team performing their dance during Choreo Nite, which was held on 23 January, 2005.
Proceeds from Choreo Nite usually go to a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) or a charity. During the 2005 edition of Saarang, during which this photograph was taken, the proceeds from Choreo Nite went towards the relief fund for the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, according to the Annual Report of 2004-2005.
In 2005, Saarang was held from 21 to 26 January.
