This photograph was taken during one of the contests held at Saarang. Through the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 2002-2003, we know that there were several programmes and events organized at the fest. Some of these included “Design Contests, Paper Presentation Contests, Entrepreneurship Contests, Video Conferences, Lectures by eminent personalities, and classical and modern musical performances.”
There were plenty of fun events as evidenced by photographs in the Saarang 2003 albums. This photograph was possibly taken during one of the fun events.
