This photograph was taken during an IIT Madras team’s visit to the desalination plant at Ramanathapuram erected by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

Kannan (Department of Chemical Engineering, fifth from left), An engineer/manager from BHEL (sixth from left), Prof. S. Pushpavanam (Department of Chemical Engineering, seventh from left), Prof. M. S. Ananth (Director of IIT Madras, eighth from left), Prof. S. Kumaraswamy (Department of Mechanical Engineering, ninth from left), Prof. M. Singaperumal (Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dean of Administration, tenth from left) and Prof. V. Kalyanaraman (Civil Engineering Department and Dean of IC & SR, extreme right).
