A group stages a performance at Saarang, 2003

This photograph was taken during an event at IIT Madras’ annual cultural fest Saarang. A campus publication at the time, The Fourth Estate notes that there were several music contests held during Saarang. These included Western Music and Light Music. It is likely that this photograph was taken during one of these events. The report in The Fourth Estate mentions that the quality of participants from the events was high and the Western Music competition was dominated by colleges from Chennai. These events were called Acoustix and Powerchord according to the report.
