A music band performs on the stage in the Open Air Theatre (OAT) during Decibels in 2005. In this photograph, from the left, a band member is possibly on the xylophone whereas two members have microphones and two other members share a microphone.

A Saarang event, Decibels is a competition for bands across India; and according to articles, the winning band receives an opportunity to open the Rock Show. Apart from events such as this, a wide variety of events and competitions were conducted during Saarang in 2005: Music, Dance, Quiz, Debate, Antakshari, Fine Arts, Extempore, etc., according to the schedule of events from 2005.
