The event during which the photograph was taken is yet to be confirmed. The photograph shows Prof. E. G. Ramachandran, (Metallurgy Department, third from right), Prof. S. Sampath (Electrical Engineering Department, fifth from right), Prof. D. Venkateswarlu (Chemical Engineering Department, sixth from right) and Prof. P. C. Varghese (Civil Engineering Department, eighth from right).
The photograph was possibly taken between the years 1964-1966 when Mr. Lal Bahadur Shastri served as the Prime Minister judging by the portrait of Mr. Shastri on the wall. It is likely that the meeting took place at the Building Sciences Block, owing to the fact that the Administrative Block was still under construction during this period.
