The chairs in the photograph have been moved several times and no longer appear to be arranged how they were originally, suggesting that several events may have taken place at this location. The 4 individuals in the front row (2 seated and 2 standing up) are Saarang volunteers as seen from the tags they are wearing.

The 2005 iteration of Saarang saw numerous events such as Creative Writing, Potpourri, Crossie, Informals, Music Quiz, Sports Quiz, Business Quiz, Light Music, Western Music, Semi Classical Vocals and Extempore among others, according to the event schedule. These events were held at different locations on campus. This particular event may have taken place in one of the newer classrooms at that time.
