This photograph was found in an album containing photographs from the visit of Mr. Walter Scheel to IIT Madras in 1963. It is not clear when this photograph was taken but we think it could be between the years 1967 to 1973. We think that it was taken between these years because Prof. A. Ramachandran (Director of IIT Madras, seated second from left at the stage) is in the photograph. Prof. Ramachandran was the Director between these years.

Also seen in the photograph are Prof. S. Sampath (Deputy Director, extreme left) and Prof. W. Koch (Department of Physics, seated extreme right, near the podium).
