This photograph was captured at a jump event, either a long jump or triple jump event during the 35th Inter-IIT Sports Meet in 1999. According to the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 1999, IIT Madras won the General Championship (men) and also emerged first in athletics in terms of points.
The student in the image is yet to be identified.
