This photograph was taken during the rock night at Saarang. Mumbai based band Brahma performed at IIT Madras during the event. Brahma was formed in 1993, it was one of the earliest metal bands in the country.

In the photograph, Devraj Sanyal is wearing the band t-shirt with the words ‘Brahma / The Gods of Metal / The World Beyond’ imprinted at the front. ‘The World Beyond’ was the band's first studio album, released on Virgo Music. It was released in the 1990s, possibly between 1995-1998.
