Dr. C. D. Deshmukh, who served as the Finance Minister in the Union Cabinet from 1950 to 1956, was a member of the Institute’s Board of Governors from 1959 to 13 January, 1961. He was also the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi during the years 1962 to 1967.
