Dr. M. S. Swaminathan addresses an audience, 1993

Dr. Swaminathan was the Chairman of the Board of Governors for IIT Madras. He was the seventh Chairman of the Institute and he served his tenure from 1991 to 1997.

Also featured in the image are Prof. M. S. Ananth (Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, second from left in first row) and Prof. R. Natarajan (Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, second from the right in the first row). The others in the image are yet to be identified.
