Gajendra Circle
Landmarks
Gajendra Circle is a well-known landmark of IIT Madras. It is located near IIT Madras’ Library and the Administrative Building; it is also located in the very centre of the campus.
It has gone through several versions and changes from a lamp post, four elephants, two elephants and two people, to the current version seen in this image of Gajendra Circle: two elephants facing opposite sides under a water fountain. Also seen in the image are a person pushing a wheelbarrow; a person is seen behind him, and under the trees, another person is seen.
