Saarang is the annual cultural festival of IIT Madras with numerous events, each taking place in various venues on campus. Similarly, this photograph was taken at an outdoor location. Some of the events in 2005 were Quiz, Potpourri, Extempore, Informals, Creative Writing, Debate, Fine Arts, Radio Play and Crossie. Apart from these events, there were also live Professional Shows in music which were held at the Open Air Theatre (OAT). This edition of Saarang ran from 21 to 26 January 2005.
