This photograph was taken during one of the events at Saarang, possibly an informal event. Through the Annual Report of IIT Madras, 2002-2003, we know that there were many programmes organized at IIT Madras. Some of these were fun events, while some were more serious. Contests and competitions ranged from design contests, T-shirt painting contests to entrepreneurship contests and paper presentation contests.
